However, we are aware that minor problems may occur during the first months after completion, and Portland aim to provide a prompt and informative 'after sales' service to address these. We strive to deliver the highest possible standard of customer care, and hope to achieve this with your assistance.
All problems should be reported directly to the office by telephone, preferably in writing, so that the appropriate course of action can be implemented. For out of hours emergency assistance, all purchasers are provided with Home Serve insurance cover to give prompt 24 hour breakdown cover in respect of: plumbing or drainage; electricity supply; security; lost keys; primary heating system. Home Serve will contact purchasers with their membership number shortly after they move in to their property. If an emergency problem occurs out of normal hours, customers should call the help line on 0800 073 2134 for assistance. Cover commences from the date of handover and runs for a period of two years.
